Thanks for providing me the latest D8 version of MD Slider.
It already solved one issue with the upload functionality to my sites/default/files/X folder.

I am also in contact with current theme owner to solve the "file browser" issue, which not relies on Media Library apparently.

The problem in your screenshot is because of jquery ver 3.2.1, 

If you are using Drupal 8.4 and higher, please update the newest version of MD Slider for Drupal8. You can download it on Codecanyon (version 8.x-1.1)
