Scratch that. I just turned off the jQuery Update module and the Megaslider now works fine.

We checked your license key, it is not MegaSlider's (you bought our MegaMenu)
In your case, you purchased Goodnex theme which comes bundled with our module, please contact your theme provider for support and update. They will send you the updated version. We only support our direct customers.

when edit slider
got WSOD and this error

Purchased Boson theme and got MD Slider. Need updated version. Updated drupal and it seems I cant edit the slider.

First, you should export the data (structure -> MD Slider -> import & export). Then go to Modules, disable and uninstall the old MD Slider. Go to sites/all/modules and remove the old MD Slider folder. Copy and extract the updated MDSlider then enable MD Slider again in Modules

fixed this by patching md_slider.admin.inc. Now have an issue with [settings] not working in the adminimal theme. Adminimal is our default admin theme, and switching themes to Bartik everytime we need to update a slider is going to get very old very fast. Is there an update for this? I read that it is a complicated issue, but an update would be very helpful, otherwise we will not be able to use the slider going forward...
ok, next issue :( Fatal error: Call to undefined function media_access() when trying to set a background image for a slide.
We used to really like md_slider, but the issues are getting out of hand
