I've cloned and edited the slider used on Homepage_04. The machine name of the new slider is md-slider-56df0a06c396a. How do I assign this slider to Homepage_04?

Please go to Structure > Blocks, find block MD Slider that you created.
Click edit block, at "PAGES", you can assign slider to page by using page url.

When I'm editing the sliders in Structure » MD Sliders, is there a way to activate the slider in there to see the result of my edits on the timeline? There are four images in Homeslider 1, and it's impossible to see what the images do, where they will be, and how they will animate. Is there somewhere I can get slide_ob01.png, slide_ob02.png, slide_ob03.png etc? They aren't stock images, they're just little graphics.

Slider images: we only use for demo and they are not enclosed to theme package.
