Youtube background doesnt work

I have a youtube video set, but it doesn't play. It's just a black screen most of the time. Sometimes it plays and sometimes it doesn't, but when it does play, at the end it shows a list of recommended youtube videos. Is there a way to get it to pause or stop on the last frame and not show the recommended videos?
