Loving this theme so far! 2 questions toward blocks assignments and display....

1) In Structure >> Blocks, there are more regions available than in the "demonstrate blocks regions" display (e.g., "header top" and "content top first column"). Are those actually available? Or, how can they be made available for use? I'd love to use them! (eyeballing "header top" for a secondary menu that doesn't seem to fit anywhere....)

2) Is the "header" region special somehow? I tried adding the search block to it and no luck displaying it.... (I was trying for logo on the left and search block on the right, thus pushing down the superfish menu.) This is the only place your theme is stumping me so far!
