How do I change the meta description on the front page?

I need to add a meta description tag plus og tags. I have tried this but it won't show:

https://www.drupal.org/project/metatag

Any idea how I can change it? Thanks.

Hi,

-Please open file /md_magnum/template/page--front.tpl.php, add following code to forepart:

<?php render(metatag_metatags_view('global:frontpage', array())); ?>
