In the theme settings, to upload custom logo, the "select" buttons do not work. They link to "#" and do not open the upload dialogue. Tried on Chrome and Safari, in Mac.

Please go to Theme settings -> General -> Site Settings, and disable option Site Name then try upload logo again.
I tried your suggestion but does not work. I also saved it after unchecking site name and the tried again... Didn't work.
So could you send us your site url, admin and FTP accounts (forum link as well) via email: [email protected]?
We would like to check for you.
