Hi, I need to add a section above the main menu. It should be a small section, where I will include an address, maybe one or two links, and the language switcher.
I found that I can do it editing page.tpl.php, but is there any other way of doing this?

The only way is editing pae.tpl.php. At the moment, we define region header only and it is not suitable for adding more blocks as you would like. We think you need to define another region then print in file header.inc.
