Hello, I am unable to figure out how to install the features module. According to the instructions its done in the themes settings area. I see where they should be listed. However, I do not see a way to load them from file. Please Advise.

Sorry about your inconvenience.
Please go to admin/structure/features to install all required modules to enable module Features. We will change/ edit in theme documentation.
And if it is possible, we highly recommend customer installs theme profile for full demo and function.
Okay. I still do not see how I import features.
