I am trying to add an external link into the menu and for some reason it links internally instead.
It clearly states that the path should point to http://www.netkandi.co.uk/blog - however it is going to netkandi.media/blog
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated

Vincent, it's due to the module needing updating - ask them to send you the updated module.
