Changing theme colors - Best practice

What is best practice for changing colors in the theme? Is it best to make a sub-theme, add css overrides in the theme settings, or just update css files. I'm looking to change the main accent color (#f7505a).

Also, how do I change the color of the pre-loader boxes?

Hi there,

1, change theme color:

Please open file avendor-dark.css in sites\all\themes\md_avendor\css

Replace all #25242c to color you would like. Then in theme settings, choose skin "dark".

2, chang color of preloader boxes:

Go to md_avendor.css, change/edit  #loader-wrapper, .containloader base on which you would like.

On my install for some reason,  the css file mentioned in step 2 (md_avendor.css), the 'red' color to replace with your new color is NOT #25242C, its #F7505A.

Sorry,

Maybe we made a mistake. Please help us replace all #f7505a with color which you would like.
