I am trying to add a new content type to replace the "Portfolio" content type and to function in the same manner on the homepage (OnePage Ariva theme), how can I do this?

Please
1. Create new content type similar to content type portfolio
2. Create a view having template as view /admin/structure/views/view/portfolio/edit/load_more
3. Enable display ajax as admin/structure/types/manage/portfolio/display/project_ajax
Js will work if class is right. If you customize class so you need to customize style and file portfolio.js in theme also.
