Hello Megadrupal,

I tried to install using Acquia Dev Desktop according to your manual but it said SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Hello Eldo,

Please see this article: https://www.drupal.org/node/1249662. You should check your hostname and port to make sure they are correct. We do not use Acquia Dev Desktop server. We are using XAMPP or WAMPP to set up a local server.

To edit the Fullscreen Slider, please go to admin/structure/fullscreen-slider. Click EDIT and you can edit the content of slider here.

Hello,

1. FullScreen Slider does not support Video as background. However, in the Alpine theme, we created a demo that has Video Banner. Please see this page: http://demo.megadrupal.com/d7/md-alpine/node/53. And you can configure that video banner in admin/appearance/settings/md_alpine.

2. Please go to MD Fullscreen Slider configuration page, click on one slide title to open the setting panel. You can set the overlay background here

But when I used the Scrapbook add-on in Firefox to download your demo from the website http://demo.megadrupal.com/d7/md-alpine , I found out the original file: 22.jpg and 12. jpg doesn't seem like photoshopped micro-boxy-dimmed.

So in my opinion it looks like your Alpine theme did make it boxy dim, not Photoshop. Please advise.

Hello,

I'm sorry. So here are the steps to set the Video Banner as main Banner(display on your homepage)

1. Go to admin/structure/block/manage/md_fullscreen_slider/demo-slider/configure and remove "node/45" value in the textarea. Then save it.

2. Go to admin/structure/block/manage/md_alpine_module/header/configure, replace "node/53" by "node/45" value in the textarea. Then save it.

3. Go to admin/appearance/settings/md_alpine, click on DESIGN tab, then click on HEADER menu, select the "Custom Video Background" in the select box, and update the video link(youtube only), content..... Save it.

After completing three steps above, you will have a Video Banner on your homepage and it has a micro-boxy-dimmed overlay lying above the background video.

I did your suggestion the above, the video is now dimmed but instead of micro-dimmed-boxy-overlay it's showing dimmed smooth pictures but not boxy, so the video is still not showing micro-boxy-overlay, http://prntscr.com/anfda8 , as I wanted it to show the micro-boxy-overlay like your demo here: http://prntscr.com/anfgwy

As you can see in your demo http://demo.megadrupal.com/?theme=alpine , the HOME VIDEO & HOME MAX IMAGE SLIDER are all has dimmed-micro-boxy-overlay, but mine is only dimmed.

2. Same case also if I wanted to show FullSlider as Banner, the pictures are not showing micro-boxy-overlay: http://prntscr.com/anfjgk, mine is dimmed only but the pictures are smooth not boxy.

The reason I wanted them to have micro-boxy-overlay so that if my picture resolution is not good enough, any jagged/rough edges will be covered by that overlay.

Please advise how to show micro-boxy-overlay in both banner cases: Video & FullSlider.

Hello,

1. How's strange? I checked our source code on themeforest and it has a micro-dimmed-boxy-overlay above the video background. In this case, you should upload your website onto a live server so I can jump into it and check it. I cannot help you when you run it on localhost.

2. The FullScreen Slider does not have Micro-Dimmed-Boxy-Overlay above the background image. You can check the demo here: http://demo.megadrupal.com/d7/md-alpine.

3. If you want to have Micro-Dimmed-Boxy-Overlay above image background Slider you can refer to this example: http://demo.megadrupal.com/d7/md-alpine/node/55. It is also included in your website.

Okay let me try to finish the localhost homepage designing then I will upload to live server within next week, then we see how it goes with the dimmed-boxy-overlay.

But firstly please advise:

1. How do I edit Home Max Image Slider node/55 Header banner? It doesn't show up when I try to configuring admin/structure/fullscreen-slider , it always showing node/45 content.
2. How do I edit Home Pattern Slider node/54 Header banner? Same problem as above.

3. I tried to tinker but unable to show node/55 as main page nor node/54 as main page. I wanted to try on each Node to compare which is suitable as main Headers. How do I make node/55 as main page and node/54 as main page?

Hello,

1. Please go to admin/appearance/settings/md_alpine, click on the DESIGN tab, then click on the HEADER on the left menu. And you can edit the Home Max Slider or Home Pattern Slider. To show it on homepage, please go to admin/structure/block, click edit the Home Max Slider, then set the page where it will display on.

2. Same as #1

3. What do you mean "main page" in your question? Is it Homepage? To set a page as Homepage, please go to admin/config/system/site-information, then enter the page alias or page ID into the "Default Front Page" field.
