Seems too many are having this problem....cannot edit settings

I'm having the same problem as others are with the settings grayed out. The standard answer is give us your site and admin but I can't. I would appreciate a public and transparent answer to this.

Hi Kassali,
It's because of gray overlay z-index is higher than setting dialog. Some additional module include jquery ui css and make this error. You can use firebug and set z-index of gray overlay to lower.

I've managed to do this on my own....now i can edit the slides but after the first slide transition is complete the second slide does not load and it is stuck on the first slide. i am using jquery 1.8.
