Suppose my original images are 960px x 200px - for browser widths less than 960 px the width and height of the image will scale appropriately but in wider browser widths the image height will not scale ie will not exceed the height of the original - for example in a wide screen the width of the image might increase to 1200px but the height will remain fixed at 200px - this results in the aspect ratio being distorted ie the image is stretched.

Is this expected behaviour for MD Slider?

If so I guess one solution is to to use very big images ie so the height of the original image is ok for the widest browser widths. But this seems strange and of course using very big images (ie heavy file sizes) is not good for performance.
