MD Slider: slide delay time issue

I am trying to display a slide for about 18sec, I have set the Slide delay value to 18000 milliseconds in the slide configurator.

On Google Chrome and Safari, this time duration of the display for a slide does not work. The slide displays for less time than indicated. In Safari it works fine. Has anyone encountered this issue?
