I am having problems with transitions in MD Slider. The banners just appear and disappear whichever transition I choose.

There are 2 types of transition in our module
+ background Transition (Moving between Slides)
+ object Transiton (text, image, video transition - when they appear and disappear on Slide)
Your prolem is because
+ You do not set background image ( but you add an image on slider and strech it to make background)
+ You also did not set transition for object
