External/absolute links being stripped and forced to relative

Hi There,

We're trying to add links to another site with a full path and the menu is stripping the domain etc out of the path, so we're just hitting 404's.

For example - the link in the builder is set up as:

Image title

And the source:

How can this be fixed, asap?  This is on a live site and the client is losing $ because their donation link doesn't work!

I ran into this too. I added HTML instead of link, and simply added a HTML link with the external URL I was needing.

That would work except they're using the basic list type nav on this one, so I need a solution to add an external link to the lyst/basic nav:

Hi Jessica

Please try the updated version (we sent you an email) and see if it works

If not, please give us your site url, admin account and FTP account so that we can check your issue

I am now having the same issue after exporting my dev menu to the live site. It strips the leading slash if I make something relative. It strips the entire URL if it is absolute.

For example:

"/example-page/" becomes "example-page"
"http://www.example.com/example-page/" becomes "example-page"

I cannot give access to the live site, but I can send you the link to view it.
