Currently in MD Max, we need to specify a Vimeo video number in the block "MD Max: Intro video...can it be changed to youtube video number ? how to do it ?

You could change default video from vimeo to youtube by following instruction:
configure block MD Max : Intro video (/admin/structure/block/manage/mdm_site/mdm_intro_video/configure)
then replace code in "Background video" to ID of video youtube (Example:we only use YQHsXMglC9A instead of all link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQHsXMglC9A).
