For some reason I have to keep uploading a favcon then within a couple of days it has gone again.
Can you look at our site and see why we keep losing the favcon.

Could you send us your FTP account? We would like to have a check in your site.
We can login with your FTP details but when go to step "list folder", it is disconnected.
Because you are using module metatag that has higher priority so settings of theme does not work. You could go to admin/config/search/metatags to set favicon following your url.
