I purchased them theme and have it pretty much set up to my liking. The biggest problem I have right now is that the "recent tweets" block shows no tweets for anonymous users. is there a setting or permission that i'm missing? it is working fine when i'm logged in. thanks.

No, you do not have to config any permission. It's because sometime twitter's servers are busy and return no tweet.
