I've just installed version 7.x-2.0
When I attempt to edit an existing menu, the page (admin/structure/md-megamenu/1/edit) appears with this error:
Recoverable fatal error: Object of class MDMegaTab could not be converted to string in MDMegaTab->initialize() (line 343 of .../sites/all/modules/md_megamenu/includes/md_megamenu.class.inc).
Please advise.

That looks like the same file you sent yesterday, so the version this error was seen with.
So could you send us your site url, admin and FTP accounts by comment form? We would like to have a check.

It's an extra $ on the line 343 of file sites/all/modules/md_megamenu/includes/md_megamenu.class.inc
They just left ..."? $$this->settings"... C'mon? Double $$???
