Hi,
There is a handful of social icons for the theme like facebook, twitter, linkedin and others. Is there a way adding other social icons like instagram for example?

Please choose icons on fontello then go to admin/config/media/icon/import and import them.
You will have icons which you want on your site :)
hmm, maybe I am missing out something, but after I imported the required files and if I go to admin/appearance/settings/md_apage/ and --> Social Media Promotion
I do not see anything related with instagram.

I would like to have an instragram logo on my site as well. I went to fontello and downloaded an instagram icon, but am unable to import it: the window where I uploaded the .zip file does not accept the .zip file that fontello provided me with on the download. I've also inserted some code to make the instagram icon show up, but it isn't working either. Could you help me as well? You should already have my ftp account info and such, since you helped me with a prior issue a few weeks ago. Thanks!

Instagram totally works, and looks great--thank you!!! In a sort of related question, I've figured out how to make the social icons in the header and team page open those links in a new tab, but I can't find the place to add the target=_blank command for the social icons in the footer/contact us area. Could you just point me in the right direction? Sorry to have so many questions!
Just need to go to sites\all\modules\custom\apage_site, file apage_site.module to edit. But we just helped you do that :)

It happend to me that I need to have a tripadvisor logo next to facebook and instagram. It was very helpful when instragam was integrated, can be the same thing to be done with trip advisor. I found that that tripadvisor icon can be integrated using http://fontawesome.io. Can it be the same management for the trip advisor social icon integrated??

Please download this https://www.dropbox.com/s/2vidpfve8o2kv8w/fontello-70f36c65.zip?dl=0 and import into your site (the file includes Tripadvisor already)
Then open file theme-settings-general.inc (sites\all\themes\md_apage\settings), lin 164 (/* 3. Social Media Promotion), you will see the list of icon in footer.
You can change an icon, which you do not wish to use, or you can add a new icon with the same code structure to create icon tripadvisor.
Then open file apage_sties.module (sites\all\modules\custom\apage_site), line 39, you also see a list of icon and edit/change to be correlative with file theme-settings-general.inc
If you cannot manage this, please give us your site url, admin account and FTP account. We will support you
