Slides not sliding (or anything) in Chrome?

Plus other bugs which seem prevalent in Chrome but not IE (11.0.9).

I've only recently bought this module - which seems great otherwise guys - but I'm struggling to get both the slide to slide transitions working at all (in either Chrome or IE) i.e. making one slide either slide, fade or do anything in the pre-sets after. The previews work fine though but not once loaded into the page/browser.

Also, on Chrome (version 40.0.2214.111 m (64-bit) Windows 7) the in-slide effects also don't seem to work after the first setting - but work fine in IE. i.e. fading in items within the slide all work great and obey timing/affect instructions but don't work at all in Chrome.

I can provide more details as needed but are there any known issues with the current versions of Chrome (or IE) or in some other aspect of my local development set-up (latest versions of all related Drupal modules + Drupal core 7.34?

Thanks in advance.

Doh! I've just worked out that the slide background effect is supposed to apply to a 'background image' you add to the slide. Your video and grabs shows the link to do this as 'Choose background image' whereas your current version interface uses 'choose image' so I had no idea what that was. So that explains that - but the other comments still apply re the in-slide transitions in Chrome. i.e. they work great and all of them using IE11 but not at all (after the first rendering) in Chrome.

PS I also couldn't find the requirements for this module and so couldn't check if there is a jQuery version (aside from the default Drupal 7 version of jQuery) needed to run megaslider (although IE11 doesn't appear to need it and your preview admin transitions all work fine in Chrome too) - and so any help/pointers with that would be appreciated - thanks.

And for my final trick, nearly a week on, I've realised that all the Chrome display errors mentioned earlier here kick in on my development rig after the computer  (Windows 7 64bit) comes back from sleep mode. doesn't happen on iE though but i can live with that.
