My client, like many clients ... suddenly no longer likes the Fullscreen Slider.
I tried to use Nivo slider instead but then all the other sliders and carousels disappeared.
How can I get a boxed width slider?
Is there another slider that won't interfere?

In ThemeSetting, you choose MD_Fullscreen_Slider in Header/Choose header background type.
Assign block nivo-slider into region Header
Did you dowload libraries?
(Download the latest version of the Nivo Slider jQuery plugin and extract it to sites/all/libraries or sites/sitename/libraries as you require. The extracted folder must be named nivo-slider.)
