Adding Text & HTML Elements to MegaMenu

I'm currently running md_megamenu 8.x-1.6 with awe_builder 8.x-1.3 on a Drupal 8.6.10 running a custom theme.  I'm trying to add html and text elements to a new drupal menu.

When I add a text element I get a blank control and the settings editor is blank and uneditable as well.  Where do I enter the text?

When adding an html element it seems that only certain html tags work and will display the contents in this element.  For example, if I add <b>MENU TITLE</b> the element does not display.  However if I add <h4>MENU TITLE</h4> the element will display.  Is there a list of supported tags for this control?  I've tried to reference the documentation, but it doesn't seem to mention anything about this control.  Please advise.  Thx.

Unfortunately I can't provide a public link to my development environment.  However I did delete and create a new menu and that seems to have resolved the issue.  Thanks.
