I have a new site built with the Apage theme that comes with the DM fullscreen slider. 90% of the slider functions really well however when I want to add or edit an image the normal modal popup appears but it is blank. On normal content type the media modal pop up works and I can upload a file or select from my February.
I am using jquery update with 1.8 and I note the flullscreen slider is referencing jquery 1.9. 1.8 seems necessary for the rest of the site.
Chrome inspector gives this error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) http://www.lukekatie.co.uk/media/browser?render=media-popup&plugins=
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'media' of undefined

What version of module media are you using?
I had the same issue. The problem went away after uninstalling Media:YouTube 7x-2.0-rc4 which I wasn't using.
I am running -
Media 2.19
MD Slider 7.x 2.24
Drupal 7.59
Module media_youtube ver 7.x-2.0-rc4 was released in 2013. It is out-of-date which may cause problems for module media.
We have tested the newest version of module media youtube and see no error
