Hi,
Please download and update https://www.dropbox.com/s/77lo8w2oubxfstw/media_browser.zip?dl=0.
I have the same issue; but it is not clear to me where to put these files.
I presume that you meant: /var/www/html/drupal/sites/all/modules/contrib/media/modules/media_browser.
I had to create this folder because it didnt exist yet. i then set the permssisions accordingly to simmilar folders.
Then i ran the update script of drupal; but still i get a HTTP 500 error when i try to access the MD-Chuland settings under Appearance.
Ho; nevermind; i found it. After doing the above (and i think it is also possible to put is elswhere in the contrib folder).
Under Modules there is a new module present, MD. Enable it and it works again :)
