I have a problem where when
i hit the edit button the slides come up blan
k. see screen shot.
any help is appreciated.

As your screenshot, we can not see you use any theme admin default. We need to set Seven or Adminimal (https://www.drupal.org/project/adminimal_theme) as admin theme. If there is any problem with admin theme permission, you can please take a look at module Administration (https://www.drupal.org/project/admin_theme).
