When dragging a section onto a page, I can only place it into an area that's 100% width of the window. If I have a page with a sidebar, I can't drag it onto anywhere in the main area, only below it, where it will expand to the total width of the page. Is there any way to fit a AweContent section into the main area on the right of the sidebar?

Awecontent allow user to create page with sidebar (2 columns). It means if you add a new section that has one column by default and you can split it into many columns (maximum: 12 columns).
About your problem, we do not understand clearly. Could you describe more?

We can see from attached image that you would like to drag a section to one column of another section. However, we can not do that.
So all of those custom sections will only fit into full window width section then I guess. So if I want to use a custom section in the main (right side) area of a page with a sidebar, I'd have to make my own section with objects, correct? For example, the orange footer area, how can I make that for the main (right side) area of the page?
Of course those custom sections will only fit into full window width section and the number of column in a section will depend on how many you split.
So to make a footer like like that, what kind of object would I need to use?
