Problem with unknow user

Hi

We are tired to receive an e-mail from user who don't know like this :
stephaineumbtpwedgjf has applied for an account.

http://www.ourdomain.com/en/user/36/edit

Can we help us to stop this !!!!
We think that it is an attack right ?

We received some messages from unknow user waiting approval from our site, which is not normal. This kind of mail is like this :
stephaineumbtpwedgjf has applied for an account.

Can you help to stop it?

Hi,
it's a common spamming problem. You should go there: (yourdomain)/admin/config/people/accounts and tick the box "Who can register accounts? Administrators only".
